Title: Mouse I fueler?
Post by: Gary James on August 09, 2019, 06:15:24 PM
I just put together a Streaker 5.5 for Mouse I.  What method is used for fueling them?  I am leaning toward a 10cc syringe with a soft latex tube extension that will fit over the Black Widow fueling tube while minimizing the chance of breaking it off.  What do you guys use?

Why not a 4-ounce squeeze bulb from a car parts store with a homemade adapter?  Usually found in the battery care area.

Any type of squeeze bottle (soft PVC) will work as long your homemade adapter is in line to a GOOD fuel filter.
I prefer those shown pics.
Our COX reedies don't like the smallest parts of dirt, NO FUN at all.
DIRT is our most Enemy.

Fuel for my .15 Glow Racers gets filtered twice.
First Filter inside squeeze bottle ,
second Filter in fuel line close to spraybar.

an old saying says:
you never cant have enough fuel filters,
when you fly over grass, mud and dust.

I just use a Sullivan 4oz. fuel bulb (like the one pictured below) with a short piece of small diameter fuel tubing.

These are still manufactured, and should be available at any reasonably good Hobby Supply.

Just a (preferably new) Sullivan 4 oz bulb with a short piece of silicone tubing to seal it during fueling. That's what I use...good enough to set records & do 8 second pitstops with.
At the first sign of deteriorating...REPLACE!   Good Luck.  Cheers, Paul
