Hey Bob,  It might be difficult to ask because of last year but, maybe, if we get at least 2 teams we could run an outlaw event?

I got mine back together.

But if it will run & fly is yet to be seen.

I hope to test it in Detroit in May.  If all goes OK I will up for a demo race is at least one other plane works.

My plane has the same Weber 28 as it came with.  Per the previous owner it was flown in the AMA Nats but didn't finish due a malfunction.  This seems to have been a shutoff reset issue.

This is NOT a Bill Lee operation in Muncie.  If there are at least two models that work there could be an outlaw race.

Just  for information Bill Lee has not had much input if any in BTR .Ken Smith tried to bring BTR back but it never really got off the ground
when i was racing ED at the nats i brought BTR back with a 100 mph top speed limit .after a couple of years it was voted on to drop the 100mph  with in 2 years they were up to 120 mph and down to 3 entrys.ever sense then it has been hard to get 3 planes together at one time .
lately the Dayton guys have been trying to get it going again at the nats but with low entrys and some bad weather it has never gotten off the ground
so lets get together at Brodaks and the 100 anniversary Nats and give it one last try,RAD

I doubt that a 100 MPH speed limit would be a problem to me.

The story I heard was that a certain B TR with a factory special K&B 29 went 130 MPH and broke the back of the event.

B TR was effectively replaced by F2C's which also do 130 on shorter lines and Rats that broke 160 MPH before they were downsized to 25's, then 15's.

Example. My planes on the required .018 lines are good for about  85 or so. Not fully developed. 35 laps pretty easy.
