Title: Fox Tyrant
Post by: Bob Heywood on September 04, 2020, 01:42:48 PM: I have an interest in the Fox Tyrant. The kit provided a basic assembly sheet with pictorials but little else. I need a few basic dimensions to develop a working drawing. Any help is appreciated.

The AMA Museum has one in the Control Line exhibit but they are closed thanks to the plague.

Maybe yes, maybe no. It fit right in the early days of Rat Racing. The market voted with their feet and said AMA Team Race was too technical. They wanted something akin to Jalopy racing. Run what you brung soon turned into simple purpose built racers. I like it, among others.

Yeah, I know F2C does it all the time now, but not in the 60's.

Post by: Bob Heywood on September 25, 2020, 06:33:37 PM: The kit on eBay found a new home, in all of it's mahogany plywood glory. It will be cloned in some manner and fashion. It joins a Guillow's Rat Racer, Royal Rodent (1st version) and Veco Firebird.
