I see that the Fisher/Wil team made the semi, which is a rare accomplishment for a US entry. Congraduations.
Also, I see 14 teams. How can that be with 3-up racing? Is it still 3-up?
Also, with the USSR split in 16 new nations (not all of them in F2), there are now about 21 team members per event to deal with, not just 3.

i believe that is 12 teams and 2 alternates

The attached file has the Semi-finals round times assigned to the heats plus the Finals times.
The number under the heat number (630) can be used with YouTube to find the video of the heat. Search YouTude for F2C, then filter on the "last week" The person that posted the video ends the video name with a number. That is the number under the heat number.
Round 1 comments:
The Spanish team posted a time in the first heat. Later they were in a heat with the alternate teams. I could not find and explanation for that but the first round time recorded for them is the heat with the alternates.
Round 2 comments:
Heat 3 is the only video posted from the round right now. There was a flyaway and the remaining teams got wrapped up in the flying lines. The Ukrainian team had finished the heat prior to the call of "Stop Racing". The French team was granted a refly. From the score sheet it appears the French team flew a heat with the alternates and posted 34 laps.
Finals comments:
The winning time is a new world record. The times for the 2nd and 3rd place teams includes a 5 second penalty for accumulating 3 warnings each. The rules were changed to apply a penalty on the third warning and DQ on the fourth warning.

Apparently a watch failure and they chose to take a refly.

In the refly, the French (Ougen/Surugue) had a missed catch on the first pitstop. The model on its end could not be removed quickly enough and caused the Lithuanian team to also miss a catch as a result. That ended the race and since reserves do not get reflys, the end of the semifinals.
