it is enlarged a bit from true scale, and within the rules.  right now, only flying with half the elevator, option to cut the second and add it in if needed.

Nice looking!! For those who do not wish to scratch build I sell a laser cut kit. The airplane is for Sport Goodyear, it is 96% size of 1/8 scale.

Ready for what is going to be a totally obnoxious to mask paint job!  If nothing else my home brew design will look fast!  Hahahaha

They tend to have too long a body, resulting in vibration, body whip & breakage.

I'm hoping between the top piece of spruce, the two laminations on the bottom, and a couple other tricks that aren't obvious, it will survive a year or two and still look good!

Might be harder to shake down with just one elevator.

22 oz is  an average weight. No need to worry about (the plane) being heavy.

She flew tonight!  Take off no sweat, handles like a kitten in the air, and lands beautifully.  Gotta finish breaking in the engine to uncork her!

Nemesis went under an unplanned rebuild over the last two weeks.....  new and improved, and now with semi-scale paint!

let's just say she suffered from a fairly rapid and unplanned delta V, along with incurring a torque moment about the leading edge as a result of hitting an organic organism...

end result from a worst case scenario (WAY worst case) was the lower 2/3 of the fuse broke clean through.  so the rebuild has some creativity built in to her to make sure even in another worst case she'll still be ready to fight, or at most need a dab of CA here or there.

Sorry to hear about your little mishap TJ.  IMO, the new white version looks better.  Fly the heck out of it.

If my TJ to English conversion is correct, it sounds like you hit your pitman's leg and snapped the fuselage. Is this anywhere close?

wrong half of the body, and a little more nuanced than that, but, yeah that's the bird's eye view haha

I learned I make a literally "sharp" paintjob as well...!

Racing stories are many and accentuate this exciting activity. The loss of Nemisis reminded me of one. We were doing some warm up laps at a contest in Warminster, Pa. I had a new pilot flying my #2 Quickie (gosh, it was a good one!). My guy shut off and was coming in hot.  I was leaning in with my hand out, ready for the grab. As he came around he stepped out a bit and the plane went right through my legs. Zing went the wings and that was it for #2.   TS     Good luck at the Nats!

LE has been blunted slightly and not paint line right on the edge, it shouldn't be a razor anymore  n~

Now somebody is going to have to build a Nem'sis NXT for something.
I built a Blue Pants as a kid. Wish I still had it. Might even learn to fly it.

Be aware that the NXT isn't built to race in Formula 1 (IF1) so it would not be a legal subject for Goodyear. Just sayin'.
