Here is a picture of Melvin Scheutte catching Bill Bischoff's Goldberg Racer as it comes apart.

Hopefully, the results will given tomorrow.

I was piloting, but it was Melvin's airplane. It had been broken there before. Wing catches are rough on profile fuselages!

Tom, could you please post the picture in a larger format so those of us with old eyes can see what's going on? If you need help with that, send me the original and I will do it.

Thanks.

Bill,
The original is 5.6MB cropped to 1.6MB. Compressing for the forums brings it down. I do it quickly to get it done. It is OK for this purpose. I'll send you the cropped original to use however and wherever you desire.

I did it! I saved the picture and e-mailed it to myself. My I-phone reduced the kbs to 105 or so.

Tom's picture is one of, if not the, best control line action photo I've ever seen. The more you  look, the more action you see going on...he caught it, he had to reach far to get it, but didn't cross the pitting line, the catch overloaded the fuselage, and as often happens, it broke. The tail and stab are flying through the air, Melvin is balanced perfectly, gracefully, well, sorta' flying through the air, too..... he's already laughing at what he is seeing. He has his safety helmet on. And Tom snapped the picture at the exact moment. Priceless.

Hmmmmm......a control line photo contest featuring strictly action photographs might prove interesting.....

Thanks, Tom,
dg

Yes, Melvin is the "M" in MBS model supplies, shameless plug.....

I have added the Contest Report and several photos on the DMAA website: http://www.DMAA-1902.org and then follow the Contest Report link.
