I bought the ASP from HobbyPartz but they appear to be out of stock. Hobby People has the Magnum XLS 15 which looks like the same engine. Their price is a higher than the ASP, however.

Hobbypartz came through for me on the second attempt.  These "almost as good" substitutes won't cut it in a one-engine event.   The idea was supposed to be an "easy-to-get" engine.  Maybe not so easy.

The rule-markers should just said "lock the throttle open" and save people the effort of making a venture.

The "almost as good substitutes" are the SAME engine with different names on the crankcase, so don't worry about that. Magnum 15's are easy to get. Just call Tower or Hobby People. Granted they cost more than an ASP from Hobbypartz, but for $70 they are still about the cheapest 15 on the market. I'm sure Bob can make a venturi, or for $10 he may decide it's just as easy to buy one from me. Done. problem solved.
