Team Racer plans
« on: October 21, 2011, 08:04:52 AM »
Roger Reese of UK has been posting his Vintage Team Racer drawings at Hippocket Aeronautics, in the last couple of days. http://www.hippocketaeronautics.com/hpa_plans/index.php

They are mainly in the "Racing, Mouse Racing, Speed" section but there's at least one under "Trainers and Small Stuff .010 to .10", too. Most are sized for 1.5cc engines but many are reduced versions of larger designs.

Cute and cool, I say.

You need to be a member at Hippocket to download, but the purpose is clearly to preserve the designs, so I suspect they will appear elsewhere too.
I built a Blue Pants as a kid. Wish I still had it. Might even learn to fly it.

Mr. Reese liked the idea of wider availability, so I uploaded his drawings to the rcgroups "Vintage & Old-Timer Plans" thread.

I understood that there's more drawings coming.

Has anyone checked out the kits or the "Able Mable" and Veco "Redskin" " class "B" team racers that are offered by Dave Shrums and advertised on the Northwest "Flying Lines" on-line newsletter? Possibly an alternative to starting from scratch.  8)

That reminds me: do you have a list of what is on your CD?

I see there's a couple of hundred plans + some 3 views on it, so it is a bit much to put in a forum post. A TXT, PDF or DOC attachment, or even a picture file, should work if you have a list.

If I get one of the jobs that I'm applying for now, I'll just buy the CD. I'm sure it is worth it  #^ If not, I wait   ''
