I just got a laser cut short kit for the Veco Redskin from Laser Works (http://lazer-works.com/list.html). I was expecting ribs and formers, but also included were fuselage sides and doublers, nose ring, wing tips, and tail surfaces. Wood selection seems OK, probably not to the standards of a Brodak, RSM or custom kit but not too bad (if I had a scale I'd post the weight). The cost was $22.58 plus shipping. They offer several other C/L short kits, including the Jetco Shark and a Midwest Hornet cut from Barry Baxter plans.

Thanks for the info.  Now I can order some short kits for the "Redskin", as it too was my first attempt at B-Team Race.  Then it was dropped from competition by the AMA.  DOC Holliday

I received my profile short kit from Lazer Works/Action Hobbies and was totally impressed. I'll do more buisness with these people.
