Title: Scott Riese
Post by: Shawn Kuntz on November 12, 2006, 08:46:39 PM
Scott Riese converted my old K & B 40 RC engine with an Irvine carb to control line.  Scott removed the RC carb and installed a venturi and needle valve assembly.  Scott also machined an aluminum tongue muffler for the engine.  I am looking forward to getting this engine into the air next summer.  I am very pleased with the quality of work and service provided by Scott.  The price was very reasonable.  Scott is nice to deal with and I would recommend his services to anybody.

Excellent mufflers that look good. My 40 sized planes look naked or unkempt without one.

Boy that is interesting.  Does that pin go all the way through the exhaust outlet?  Judging by the shape of the bent portion, it looks like he used an Irvine needle.  Neat.   Glen

The pin does not go all the way through the exhaust port.  The engine originally came with a gate over the exhaust port that opened and closed with the throttle on the carb.
