Not just metrics, but also English, SMG, fractional, numbered, decimal, French, anything with threads.

I like to go in and put the part on the counter.  They can decypher all things threaded, and they have never failed to produce the bolt, nut, tap, or drill to do the job.  If they don't have it you don't need it.
