When Sparky posted Jim Lee's price list, I read it with great interest. I had the pleasure of meeting Jim briefly at the Nats this year. Among the unique tools Jim offers are "Finger Drills". These are 7 drill bits, 1/16 to 5/32, permanently set into a knurled aluminum handle that is about 3/8" diameter. I think you can buy them individually, in groups or the whole set. The whole set was only $22.00. It was a solution looking for a problem.
I needed to add an extra strap to secure a landing gear on a profile. The only place for the strap was directly in front of the leading edge. There was no room for a drill chuck and the drill bit was too big for the pin vices I had. A quick call to Jim Lee and the finger drills (and a nice syringer that was too nice to pass up) were in the mail. They arrived three days later. Five minutes after I opened the box, I had my LG straps drilled.
You may not need finger drills very often. But when you do, nothing else works like them.
Jim is a pleasure to work with. He accepts Paypal, too.
