Got my snapper today
« on: November 18, 2010, 10:55:20 AM »
All I can say is this kit is SWEEEET! Ray puts some effort in this flyer. Super quality components and assemblies. Control system is already complete, Landing gear has wheels attached, firewall is already setup for the motor. Balsa is tops and already labeled and marked for assembly! Can't go wrong for the price. OMG---LOUIE  H^^ H^^

So true aout the Snapper kit.  I need to get off my rear and finish mine.  Basically it is the small details like pilot area, fuel tank and graphics.  Mine will be powered by a Brodak .049 that is running great on a balloon tank.  Just need to make one small enough to fit the plane.   H^^

Yep, and makes awesome hand cut kits (but you wouldn't know they are hand cut!)
Gotta put the paint on my 1/2A Minnesotamodeler Snapper kit!  Power is a nice Golden Bee with a reverse rotation 3 blade Cox Comp. prop. ;D

Curious if a Surestart will fit on this plane. It seems the surestart has a large backplate that may not fit into the fuselage.

Thanks,

Jim Hayes

Surestart will fit...just finished a kit for one.  No changes necessary.
