Hi all
I used some of the Brodak covering film recently
found it very good, compared to Solarfilm
slightly heavier, but feels thicker and stronger
went round wing tips no problem, shrink down tight
over the open bays and onto a profile fuselage OK
been flown now 6 - 7 flights . only problem is with
lifting due to oil ingress, but quite happy with it overall

I have read that a bead of clear fingernail polish along the seam lines will cure the lifting problem. Haven't tried it, yet. Glen

Clear Lusterkote works well.

Jim, does the Lusterkote show up on the covering after it dries, or does it pretty much disappear? Glen

Hi Glen, no it is almost invisible. I use a Q tip and dip into some that I spray in a cup. Just go over the seams. I also use it over any decals, But dont put too much on at one time or the decals could melt. ask me how I know.

Jim, I was going to wait until I posted my latest plane I built. I was/did cover it with Brodak covering. The white I put back on the roll as it was transparent. But, I did use the blue and red. After discovering why some of it would not stick down like it was supposed to. It seems the backing would not come off in one big perfect sheet. I found strips still stuck around the edges. After getting that off it worked great. I also found I could not use very much heat on the iron. Anyway I am glad you are happy with your use of the Brodak covering. I guess I had too much experience with the so called money cote. Have fun, DOC Holliday

I used Brodak covering on my second plane i ever covered. I was impressed with the ease of the work ability. My first plane the wing tips sucked. With the brodak they looked a lot better. Some of you have seen my Stuka but if you havent here is a pic of it. Also i use aleene's tack glue on my edges to seal them and i have no lifting what ever. It looks like elmers glue when applied but dries clear.
