Aero Tiger .36--throw away your os 40's

(1/3) > >>

brucefinley:
I had purchased a near new Aero Tiger a year ago (off of SSF) and had just mounted it on a "hand-me down hack ship" - Geiseke Nobler - that had been wrecked I had rebuilt.  I had recently tried an OS 40.  No joy.  Today I installed  the Aero Tiger .36 and OHMYGOD!  What a perfect run!  Choke twice, hook up battery, and one start flip.  Fat needle,  easy to set.  Plenty of power just where you need it.  Did I mention perfect run?  If you don't own one of these, get over on Randy Smith's site and order one now!   Quit messing around with lesser engines!

This experience today tells me when I want an engine for STUNT I will go to THE PROPER SOURCE from now on!  Randy gives fast service too on anything I have ever ordered.

I am of the opinion that the AT .36 is the finest stunt engine around....although any of Randy's or R.O's are great....

Bill Little:
I will admit (since I have a bazillion engines) that the AT 36 is the BEST engine of it's size for stunt on the PLANET!  Too easy to use, gobs and gobs of controlable power, and the praise just goes on.

I kidded Randy about the price at first, but after hearing MArshall Busby and the rest of the guys talking about them, I now have a few!  Even have a TT 36 that Randy converted to like new AT mode, and the work was reasonable.  I now have a great engine from a gift of an R/C pilot!  And the new ones are super.  Highest recommendation!!

Busby:
I will ditto everything said about the Aero Tiger 36.

You can practice flying as opposed practicing getting the engine to run.
It has some amazing properties :

1 if it burps at the intersections of the vertical eight, install a plug.

2 If it speeds up during the run,mid point on ,look for a split in the vent line.

3 If you have any run problems, it is a fuel delivery problem, not an engine problem.

I will now get off my box again.

the original Steve Smith:
???

Ok, I am officially confused.

Is an Aero Tiger the same as a Thunder Tiger?

This inquiring mind wants to know.
