Radio Control Club of Detroit
« on: May 30, 2006, 06:27:15 PM »
The Radio Control Club of Detroit is located in Lenox Township in Michigan. That is my club.

The club has a huge flying field and a large control line circle and is in the Wetzel State Park.

It is a 28 mile drive from my house to the circle. And I find the trip well worth the effort.

Our club has been in existence for over 50 years and we have a 200 plus membership.

Our yearly budget is well over $20,000 a year. We have contests and events scheduled for about half of the weekends during the flying season.

We put on a mall show, have kids nights, give talks and flight demonstrations at local schools. We have our own tractor for lawn maitenance.

We have a web site and you can find the site by doing a Google search- just type in rccd.org

EDIT or find it here http://www.rccd.org/

I see no mention of C/L anywhere on the website.
