My Motor Mount
« on: March 19, 2025, 12:19:51 PM »
Here is the motor mount I use. I think it is a little better then what's available as it has the center knocked out and used the mounting plate that comes with the motor. This allows for better air flow and the plate dissipates the heat better.

Please do not sell this. This was drawn up by my son and a few enhancements by me.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for sharing the motor mount. What motor did you use in it? The reason I ask is I printed it out and the metal mount for a Cobra2826 fits the slots but not the hole spacing. And the mount for a BA 3515 fits the hole spacing but the slots need to be opened up. Just curouis as to the motor you ended up using.
Thank you,
Frank

Hey Frank
I used a Cobra but I thought both brackets would work. I make it a tight fit and I use a heat gun to warm up the mount and press it in place.
If you can send me some measurements I can try and make some adjustments. Use mm and not inches.

Looks like a good evolution of the 3d mount concept. Using the factory x-mount is a welcome change.
Laser-cut, "Ted Fancher Precision-Pro" Hard Point Handle Kits are available again.  PM for info.

Thanks Paul,
I was able to import it into Fusion360 and convert it so as to be editable there. I can easily offset those slots if needed. Thanks for making it available and your offers for assistance.
