Stearman PT 17
« on: March 01, 2011, 05:27:37 PM »
Here is the status of the Profile scale Stearman PT 17. The airplane will be 1" = 1', with a 32 1/4" wingspan and 301 square inches. With a little more drawing work I will be ordering parts for the prototype. ;D

Pat,
What engine for this one.
Walt Umland did a Fiat CR32 a few years ago with a 37 in W/S it was for a Fox 35. generally speaking though a good 25 seems to be more then enough.

Dennis,
A modern .20 or .25 would be enough. It is small at 301 square inches. Plus, it wouldn't look right at 75 MPH!  ;D A Fox 35 would be OK
