Title: RINGMASTER Jr. TRAINER
Post by: pat king on April 08, 2015, 04:42:43 PM
A step up from sheet wing 1/2A trainers. The simplicity and ease of repair of a sheet wing in an airplane for .09 to .15 engines. A .19 is too much engine for this airplane. The airplane has a 33” wingspan and 225 square inches of wing area. This size airplane is easier to fly than a 1/2A airplane, but not large enough to be intimidating for the youngsters. Put this one on 52’ lines and get the rotational speed down to a comfortable level. The laser cut kits will sell for $53.00 delivered in the continental US.

Pat what is the stunt capability with this plane and the bigger Trainer II? Thinking on getting either this Jr. or the bigger one to help learn that pattern. Looks like these can take a beating compared to me constantly busting up a very heavy hand me down. Thanks

Beginner pattern I should say. Simple loops and 8's and invertes

Jamie,
The Jr. trainer is capable of inside, outside maneuvers, inverted, eights, wingovers. It will not be perform square or hourglass stuff unless the pilot is an expert. The Trainer II should not be put in negative G (outside) maneuvers, the rubber bands would be the only thing taking all the load from the fuselage, tank, and engine.

Awesome.  With the trainer II I would glue the wing in place just so I don't have to deal with rubber bands. But the Jr. May be the ticket.

Jamie,
I will be doing a Ringmaster Trainer III with the wing and tailfeathers fixed (glued) to the fuselage. #^ #^

Hi Pat

I think you may have hit the perfect trainer for the kids,   one of these matched to one of the old Gilbert .11s should be fun to fly.   Do you have one of these available ???

Dalton,
I do not have a Ringmaster Jr. Trainer in stock. It would take about 3 weeks to get one for you.

Thanks,  Pat
