In 1946 Matt Kania designed the PERKY. Today the PERKY is used in postal speed competition. Blackhawk Models used to sell PERKY kits. This laser cut kit is taken from the dimensions of the Blackhawk kit and available plans. The airplane has an 18” wingspan and uses .15 engines. The CAD plans show the airplane and all parts full size. They can be used for scratch building the airplane. There are ribs included for a covered wing or a sheeted wing. The kit contains enough 1/16 Balsa sheet to build the sheeted wing. The horizontal stabilizer and elevator are 1/8” Basswood, the rudder is 1/8 ply. The Bellcrank mount is keyed into the 1/8” Lite Ply bulkhead with a 1/8” ply key. The kit does not contain any control system hardware.
