MEGLADON
« on: January 05, 2018, 05:54:45 PM »
Do you want a simple, easy to build and fly, C/L Sport airplane that isn’t a Ringmaster or a Flite Streak? The Megladon is a laser cut kit that is designed to be easy to transport, easy to build and a bunch of fun to fly. The airplane is for .29 to .40 size engines. It has a 38 1/8” wingspan and 429 square inches of wing area. The wing is 16% thick at the root and 20% thick at the tips. The wing has almost no taper in thickness from the root to the tip. The wing is just over 2” thick. The CAD plans show all parts full size. The Megladon is NOT a precision aerobatic airplane. It has no flaps, it does have a tip weight box and an adjustable leadout guide. The kit contains the control system hardware and the music wire for the gear. You supply the engine and tank, wheels, glue, covering and finishing.
The kits sell for $73.00 plus Priority Mail shipping of 3 pounds from zip code 60449. You can pay using Pay Pal to: patdk@aol.com , or mail a check to:

I have to admit when I saw the name I expected about a 60" model but it is a neat looking little plane and with the huge abundance of very low cost .29s there are out there it could help budget minded folks to keep flying.

She was specifically designed to be relatively low cost, fun to fly, and easy to transport. If you look at the moments and large elevator it has similarities to some early, pre-flying wing, combat ships.
