The price increase on my kits is going to be higher than I originally thought. Starting April 1 the prices of my kits will be 15% higher than the existing published list. It looks like Balsa is going up 20%, possibly more. The laser cutting is going to cost more because there is more cutting time when parts are cut from 3” sheets instead of 4” sheets. Many more parts must be made in multiple pieces than when using 4” wood. I will revise the list for April 1, I will then evaluate each airplane as kits are sold and adjust prices as the exact costs become available. Hopefully, I will be able to reduce some kits to less than the 15% increase. Alternative materials and methods will be evaluated to see if costs can be better controlled.
