Title: White Primer
Post by: Tom Strom on March 18, 2012, 09:57:13 PM
Where can I find a good white primer?  I have always used auto primer, two part, and only comes in grey.  Looking for two part white.

Thanks

Tom

Dupont makes a two part white primer. Not inexpensive.

Duplicolor has a large spray can of white primer which works well.  It isn't a primer/filler like their gray, but it is a good, automotive grade, primer and not costly.

Thanks all.  The epoxy primer looks great.  I will give them a try, as well as trying to find the Dupont.

I'm sorry Tom, I missed the "two part" aspect somehow.....

Hey, it's OK Bill.  I tried the Duplicolor and had the paint peel off.  Don't know if I did something wrong, or what happened.  So I want to stick with the two part stuff.  Makes my life easier.

I can understand that!  No need to change when you have something that is working.

Tom

You can't beat this stuff if your going the silkspan and dope route.
It is at Brodaks and i use it all the time works great. Sands real nice
too.  It is a great undercoat for your bright colors like yellows and
reds.
