Where to buy 1" square black/white checkerboard lite vinyl
« on: January 11, 2020, 04:50:23 PM »
Would anyone know where to buy 1" square black/white checkerboard sticky back vinyl like the stuff Sig used to sell?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you...

Jerry,

I send scraps to a few modelers for free if you can cut your own 1" squares.

Otherwise I could make the pattern but would need measurements.

Thanks for the replies, but after actually looking at the plans, and more importantly measuring, I will have to mask and paint the checkerboard, due to odd sizes needed.

My condolences.  What did you do to be punished in such a cruel manner? LL~

I had to do this last fall. I bought some vinyl masking film and transfer paper on ebay, laid out my pattern and cut it with xacto and metal ruler. I did left and right wings and left and right stabs, and applied each pattern as one piece. The most time consuming part was peeling out half of the squares after cutting the patterns!

Also, these materials can be bought at pretty much any local sign shop that does vinyl graphics, just tell them how much the whack off the roll.
