Title: Using Polyspan
Post by: James Mills on February 18, 2009, 06:16:06 PM
I'm ready to start the finish (again) on my Tempest after the paint pulled up.  I ended up removing all the covering off the bays, used polyspan first time.  Will I have any problems with the wing warping using polysan again or should I use silkspan?  The wing was built in Bob Hunts jig so it (the wing) started out straight and want to keep it that way.

In my experience Poly-span will not pull as much as silk when its shrunk.  DOC Holliday

Doc,

When you talk about "silk" do you mean silk or silkspan?  Are you going to St. Louis this weekend?
