Two latest in my fleet. Did some painting today, now to trim up the paint lines. Geo XL and Cavalier

Great looking planes Ty.

Well, Chief, those should be two great flying models for you.
What color is that bright red on the Cavalier?
Thanks
Bill

I copied the paint scheme from a beautiful Nobler seen on here. Couldn't resist.
Ty,
That was my Nobler and I remember you said you were going to borrow the paint scheme. I'm honored by your work. Looks great!

Those are cool looking models... 8)
Congrats Ty!!!

Hi Paul. They say copying is the best form of flattery. Your paint scheme is simple and beautiful. One of those less is more that I love. The silver just does not want to show up in the photos. Looks more like a shadow, but in the flesh it looks neat. H^^
Did you shoot the whole wing white and then spray the silver over the white ?
-
Awesome planes Ty!!!
GREAT paint scheme.
So how about a pic of that Firebaby you're hiding under the wing??
Good luck with your new planes & "Tight Lines!" H^^
Wes
BTW: Just found some pics from the 69' Nats from Willow Grove Navel Base and the trip the Navy took us
'State Champs' to Pensacola.

Would have responded sooner, but had to go look for the Firebaby. The planes look great and I hope they fly well for you.
-
Looking good Ty! Doesn't hurt I'm kinda partial to red... Heh.
Hope to see them go at the next KOI.

GREAT work Ty!
Can't wait to see you put it through the pattern!

Hi Bill. Yes, but when you consider most of each coat is sanded off or rubbed off with 0000 steel wool, and I apply very thin coats, 12 isn't all that many. The rub out take off some as well, so I think I end up with maybe 5 coats left. Not only that I got your attention. LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~
How are you doing? D>K
OK, if yo are removing that much clear, it should be alright. LL~
Thanks for asking, I am doing better, but progress is slooooow. Not helped by years of abusing my body! More feeling in my hands each day it seems. I think I can handle a carving blade or a razor plane much better now. ;D
How are YOU holding up?

Ty-
Your planes are looking better all the time! Watch those hot dogs. Hey, I'm only 18...in base 60!

Hi Ty,
You mentioned flying your Stiletto 585. What did you finally use to power it?
Thanks!
Bill

You are certainly prolific there, Ty. Nice work.
-
We'll see if you like the next one. It's different anyway.
-
You tell us it's different, Randy, but we have no PICTURES to look at yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VD~ HB~>
Ty, these are looking really fine, really fine.
-
Hey Coach, I sent ya' a P/M about the Cup qualifin' today, I think that ya' might get a little chuckle from it... y1
-
Very nice Ty. You do good work ! And I'm jealous of your pretty airplanes. Yes a prolific builder, you are. I'll bet both are going to be good flyers too ! H^^
-
Ty, I love that paint scheme. The little dab of red really hits the spot. Hope it flies as well as it looks.
-
Did you forget, we don't steal, we just borrow. LL~ LL~

I don't know, Doc. We never return it so maybe we do actually "steal" it!
I have stole something about building or flying or finishing from about every top flier there is! (nothing to be ashamed about! LOL!!)

Ty,
I haven't looked in this section in a while, but took a look at your two new planes and they look beautiful. Doesn't hurt that they are two of my favorite planes either. I'm so glad you health has improved. Kathleen, Gil, and Brent pray that it gets even better. Like Eric V. I'm partial to red! Do you think you will be at the Tom Dixon Ellijay contest?
