I am not sure what happend when I shot the clear ,maybe not enough pressure and I know not enough clear but it came out pretty rough. To some this would be a disaster but to me its less weight. I have been sanding for the last 2 days and just started with the polishing. It should be a few more days to sand and buff everything. I do need to repaint the inboard flap as I sanded through. But here is a shot of how it looks now and will only get better as I rub sand and polish.
I forgot how much work this is. The clear on this model is Sherwin Williams select clear. 1 dust coat and 1 flow coat. Should have been third but I was sparse with the clear.. All this means is more grease and round two it lotion. Total finished weight 1725 grams or 61 OZ. with fuel and will only get lighter as I sand. This is with 1 oz wing tip weigh. I am hoping I can remove some of that but only flight tests will tell.
Timer set 1 min for test flights to adjust handle, tip weight and line rake. I will do 5 of those and switch battery then go 5 min 30 seconds to see how it goes.
