Title: Spray gun pattern?
Post by: Rob Killick on February 05, 2009, 03:47:08 PM
Hi ,

I was wondering what might be the better spray gun pattern , round , or fan ?
I see Watanabe  offers a round WT33 05R , 0.5 mm and a fan for their W33 10F , 1.0 mm .

Any comments ?

Thanks ,

Rob Killick
PS
Both are side feed , gravity feed

You'll want a fan pattern for nearly everything you do. do yourself a favor and get a gun with a pattern adjusment so you can adjust the pattern and paint to the size job your're doing.

Agreed,
side note, most any gun that will spray an elipse pattern,, (fan) will have an adjustment to control the size of the pattern fan. you can stop it down to make it round. but in almost everycase i can think of you will want the fan setting, that is where you build your overlap when you spray
