Spray Can Clogged
« on: Yesterday at 07:23:16 PM »
I have used this Rustoleum spray can a couple of times and never had a problem with it until now. I warmed the can and shook it for 5 minutes. It sprayed ok for 2 seconds then clogged. Does anyone know the wire size to clear the nozzle? I soaked it in acetone and blew it out with 100 psi and it just instantly clogges again. Is there something wrong with the paint in the can. I got some paint out without the nozzle and used a brush to paint with but I'm trying to get a spray coat for the final finish. Tried other nozzles and got the same results.

Thanks,
MM :)

The new Rustoleum cans are designed to spray upside down as well as upright.  That means that you cannot clear them by spraying upside down like you used to be able to do.  It's not the nozzle that clogs up, it's the tube inside the can.  I think they did it to sell more paint since the cans will clog up long before they are empty unless you use the entire can in one session.
