used polyspan for the first time and it was great, went on nicely but i got it too hot in one place while shrinking. It left a small "tear" or hole, about the size of a bb or even smaller. Several coats of dope and it is not filing, just a little too big. How does one fill the hole(s)?

Lightly sand it a bit to level out the dope you have put on it. Take a piece of silk span and tear a piece into a round patch big enough to cover the hole. Dope that in place over the hole. Dab in some extra filler coats and light sand the edge as they dry. The secret here is to tear the patch and not use scissors. The torn edge fills better and blends in better and will be invisible when finished.
