Title: Removing dents
Post by: kevin king on August 09, 2018, 03:50:56 PM
Hi all. Has anyone tried removing a dent from their model while its in silver? I know a dent can be removed by placing a damp cloth on the surface of unpainted wood then heating it with an iron. I have never tried it on silver. I will try it. Worst case scenario is having to use %$#*!#* putty I guess. HB~>

Ty, sorry I missed your reply. I will try your suggestion next time. The iron trick didn't work, so I sanded and filled with that red glazing putty. Its on the outboard wing tip and I sanded most of it off. This is the second last 'Large' airplane I ever build.
