I can not paint in the house It smells
Can I heat up the spray can and heat up the wood
than go outside and paint let the part sit outside for an hour
what do you think

what are you painting with? and what is the outside temperature.
My recomendation would be to spray it outside, then bring it in where its warm. If its to cold virtually all paint products will have issue if they are in the cold during the most critical phase, that being the time immediatly after application

If you are in an extremely hurt position to paint the plane don't paint in any temps under 60F degrees. Warm weather will be here sooner than you think and here in Kansas I've had days in the winter time I could paint outside in my shirt sleeves, no jacket. So why rush it? H^^

Hi, I don't know what kind of paint you use, but I've sprayed dope down to 20 below. I have everything ready to go and take the plane outside and paint. I bring the part sprayed immediately into the shop. I've never had a problem with drying, or adhesion with successive coats. I live in North Dakota and a benefit of spraying in the winter is super low humidity. As a disclaimer, I've never sprayed any other type of paint except dope as stated before. Another benefit is there aren't any bugs or dust! Cheers,Doug
