I just love the fact that same guy with 2 conours plane hanging in the background also has a pink flower-power plane that he did for his little girl Layla hanging there too!

Looks like you still need the dark green on the top of the wing and tail surfaces. Mostly white on the bottom??? Looks like you are finally running out of steam.... I would be too.

Hey Jim,

No, I spray only color. I do not use clear until the very end and it goes over everything. I have heard of the clear on the edge trick but it seems like it would build up a larger ridge that would have to be sanded out later. If I do get flashing I use an old AMA card to scrape it off. After a couple days of drying the flashing flakes right off and leaves a very crisp line...as you can see in the pictures. Hope this helps.

Save your old credit cards, they work well for removing the paint edge also

He has yet to add the lace , shadowing to full extent, outline the trim and add the mythical panel lines, that everyone knows do not exist on real plans..... :-)

I think I am about 98% sure what I am going to do on the bottom. I have been busy lately and have not added anything since the last pictures. Maybe I can get some work done this weekend.

But you know, sometimes taking a break is a good idea.
I know that we have to do what we have to do to keep up with those bills, but my point is too much of anything isn't good.
I used to charge myself a lot about deadlines that you cannot really meet.
I wanted to spray some two part clear on a model this morning, 'cause I've been taking a break from building my Magnum, since the stab is not good to use, so I just took another plane and went for it and when I woke up today... no electricity!!

Couldn't spray the clear, and now I don't know anymore when I'll get to do it.
I think when you work around the clock and still somehow manage to "find" time to do what we do, the deadline is the least of my worries.

Same as in the pictures. I just ordered some more vinyl spray mask. I have a good idea for the bottom now.
