That's news to me. I use only Brodak dopes. I often store thinned colored butyrate back in the can. Even with some retarder mixed in. Never had a problem with age or colors match.

I always mix the paint in a Mason jar. Any that is left over, I mark so that I can use it for repairs if needed. I believe that I picked that up from one of Windy's tapes.
