Title: Kodak Photo-Flo
Post by: Howard Rush on May 17, 2012, 12:38:17 AM
My new paint mask doesn't slide around very well using Windex or my usual solution of Dawn detergent and water.  A Photo-Flo 200 solution seems to work better on my test surface, and it probably doesn't contain silicone, about which I'm suspicious of Dawn.  Has anybody used Photo-Flo for this purpose?

No.. I havent..

You need to use a fairly intense ratio of water to solution 200:1

Rapid Tac.

Used especially for that purpose. Nothing else actually. Can be had from any Sigh Supply store, even on line from plenty of suppliers.

Wow, haven't heard about that stuff in ages, can't answer the question just brought back a bunch of memories of the days when I had a dark room and a member of a San Diego Photo club. We held a party one night and one of the really good looking gals in the club came dressed in a brown trash bag with Photo-Flo labels. Thanks for jogging the old memory cells, made my day...

Thanks, folks.  I found a Rapid Tac dealer here near my usual all-you-can-eat Indian lunch buffet.  I'll get some as soon as I get hungry.

You move rapidly after eating Indian food. And you might be able to use it like Rapid Tac. LL~

Howard - I've wondered how photo-flo would work in fuel as an anti foaming agent compared to silicone based tater growers. If you got some left toss a drop or two in some old junk fuel and give it a shake and let me know. I miss my darkroom for black and white, digital just doesn't have enough gray levels...yet.

Rapid Tac smells good and works fine.  Thanks a bunch.

The only ill effect I've noticed from the Indian food is that it makes me fat.  I hit the dessert buffet pretty hard.
