Guys,

John Duncan is a SH member and he reads Threads I imagine.

I just posted his photos because, as I said, he couldn't. I opened one in Photoshop, it was 23" wide, so I reduced all of them.

I do know he has flown the model and expects to do the pattern with it.

Hi all
John here, I wish I could take the credit for the build but it all go's to Rob Aronstein all I did was dope , primer sand and more sanding and paint the finish. I used WarbirdColors paint with Brodak clear on top I do like the paint it's water base paint be careful just enough to cover watch the weight.
The engine's are fox 35's well the only thing that is fox is the case the insides are all new AAC piston & liner , rod , hemi head , stuffer back plate at first I was using the wrong fuel for the first 5 flights I used all caster at first then I talked to Randy Smith about fuel use, Randy put me on the track for fuels again thank you Randy. The landing gear is set up with retracts the out board wing has the 4.8 battery in the tip weight box, in each nacelle's there is a servo's for the landing gear, on the right side of the fuse there's a small plug that activate the landing gear Rob used head phone jack and plug from a AM FM radio .

Hi
Line length is 65 feet with line diameter of 018,the PL set up was done about 1995 there was some break in on the engines but not much the engines were put in Rob nobler for break in .
I was running all caster at first that was a mistake now I will try some Taffs PA 5% nitro 24% synth + caster that I still have and I hope it's good . I will have to talk to Rob on who did the engine work.

Nice Plane.

Id be intrested in details of the Retract System . to Copy .

If your climates variable , you may find it more consistant with 10 % Nitro. Or 15 or 20 . Which'd go like stonk .
The Veco 19s & fox 19s in my profile things are fine , if the weathers consistant , but finding the settings sometimes a chore,
When the Nitros Up , the tourqes there & the needles not as critical , Just Rich is fine.

Nother Trick is inners prop FLAT , against Comp. Outer Vertical.
This keeps your fingers away from the fuse & the other prop .
It also gets it out of a synchronous cumulative V I B E trip ,
which is usefull if it looks like a ornithopia running !

You Actually put booth at T D C , and set the props exacty 90 deg to Ea Other . A remote control ' trick ' but sorted my Whirlwind back in the 70's.
With a 19 7 25 you can hear them apart . You need a Trained Spotter otherwise . Though That Said . Identical Ea Side Should run Identical Needle Turns, unless you choose to bias one a touch .

ER , just a note . Um , if you suddenly get a big variation in needle turns, STOP and cleare the spraybers/ fuel lines . this Avoids tourque rolls . LL~
