Joe Adamusko's New Spitfire
« on: November 06, 2020, 01:37:59 AM »
Got a couple of Pictures of Joe Adamusko's Insignia Electric Spitty. Here the plane is ready to be back masked. Master craftsman!  Can't wait to see it when it's finished!

Looks awesome as usual, but shouldn't there be a third white invasion stripe in each of the locations?

wwwarbird ,Joe's plane is not a scale model or even semi scale. It's a "Spitfire like" stunter. Trust me, Joe knows how many invasion stripes a scale Spit should have. Joe's models all are "stunt art" at the highest level attainable by anyone. He can paint his models anyway he likes...

Yeah, joe's name and reputation is with out question connected to excellent models. But to most of us that are aviation enthusiasts in general, and have been looking at invasion stripes our whole lives, it just looks incomplete. Kind of out of balance. Makes one wonder why he thought it wasn't necessary. Oh well.

So many different paint schemes for Spitfires . Here's a few with only 4 stripes.

More. From an aesthetic point of view, four stripes looks better. Five is overkill and covers up to much of the model. I think Joe nailed it. I was tempted to only use 4 stripes on my spitfire to. Especially on the fuse. Some Spitfires even have a 6th stripe on the fuse. That's too much.
