Yea, youd need to use the lite coat as the FINISHING coats, not the Taughtening .

Putting the silk on damp ??

When I did the El Diablo with silk and dope I had the same issue. Since I hadn't done silk and dope in a long time when it sagged I panicked!! An old friend from my Circle Burner days in NJ told me - just keep going, let it dry a day between coats. Sure enough at coat 7 boom it got drum tight.
