Title: I think I screwed up
Post by: Paul Taylor on March 19, 2013, 07:41:10 PM
I had to move a tape line on the back side of my fuse. Did the respray this afternoon and taped off half the fuse. Now I have a dark line now because I have a extra coat of paint on this one section. I should have masked off the whole area. What a rookie mistake!

So at this point i figure there is no fixing it without a total strip.  HB~>

ah now,, be creative,, mask a stripe to cover it, but on both sides, then spray with a contrasting color to make an accent line,,,  H^^

For the record, I HATE when I do something like that,, but usually the "fix" makes it better in the long run,,

Thanks Mark
I thought about that but then maybe thought I could sand it down and feather it in. That would turn into a bigger mess I'm afraid.
I might just have to live with it.  :-\

I've had plenty of screwups like that. You know what you get when your shoot candy apple red over white? you get candy pink and it doesn't matter how many coats you put on.

Just adjust and adapt.

After looking this over its not too bad. I'm going move the trim line down on both sides.

Here is the brain fart.
