This started out as parts left-over from a Fancherized Twister, and the 1/2" piece of balsa I found stashed away. It uses a Pow Wow airfoil, that I whittled on, to make it taper in chord, and thickness from root to tip. Wingspan is 43-1/2 inches. Lew Woolard Fox .35 for power.

On to the paint and finish: The entire model is covered with white Ultracote, the red is SIG dope, and the blue is Krylon. The interesting part of this is that I used ConTact Shelf Paper for the masking of the colors and stars. It adhered well to the covering, and didn't allow paint to bleed under it. The number 11 masking had not been removed when I shot this picture, but they turned out fine, on both sides of the fuselage, in the red area. The plane is built without plans, other than the wing layout on my building table, and lines drawn on the wood. It should fly this weekend, or Monday, when the weather shapes up nicer. No purple on this one.

We were able to fly, today, and the Stunt-Stang was airborne! Having been so close to it during construction, I knew it was flawless! No so! The guys at the field noticed a slight twist in the left wing panel, after the 1st flight, because they noticed that the plane was banked into the circle, somewhat. So, no radical maneuvers on the following flights, to make certain that it did not roll in, to an unrecoverable degree. At home, I straightened it out with a heat gun. I'm eager to fully flight test, to the best of my ability, the next time out!

Thanks, you guys! It is flying quite well now! Just need to release the full potential of the Fox on board, and there will be no maneuver that is beyond it's ability. This one really turned out great! Landings can be either a roll-out on the mains, or a smooth 3 pointer. Fun! The wind we had today, was not jostling it around, like some of the other planes, today.

Glad to hear you are happy with the plane.  Isn't it great when your pride and joy starts coming around.   Now don't go bruising the grass with it or putting tar mac stains on it.  It looks great.
