FYI: Randolph dealer in Newburg Oregon
« on: February 25, 2015, 06:45:31 PM »
I've been kind of looking around for a local source of Randolph dope.  Every once in a while I ask here (Randy Powell then tells me about the place in the Seattle area), or among my aviation friends.

Well, this week I hit paydirt.

Apparently Randolph has been bought by PolyFiber, and there's a PolyFiber dealer in Newburg Oregon who's willing to order in Randolph stuff.

Everything will need to be pre-ordered and then picked up, but if you live in Portland or the surrounding area, it should still be a good deal:

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

Spencer Air at Thon Field carries it and they emailed me something this about free shipping.  You might call them.   I buy most of my dope there, but I'm alot closer.  Can't wait to see the paint job!

I either get it from Spencer's Aircraft at Piece County Airport (like Duke) or sometimes order from Aircraft Spruce. depending on the deal I get. Mostly at Spencer's though. I found out that Poly-Fiber bought out Randolph's when I went out to Spencer's on Wednesday. The guy at the counter told me (and it's pretty obvious since the gallon of clear I picked up said Randolph's by Poly-Fiber).

Poly-Fiber bought Randolph about five years ago.  One of the good things about that is that Aircraft Spruce now has Randolph color dope mixing capability on both the east and west coast.
