Title: Doculam For Wing Covering
Post by: Chancey Chorney on January 06, 2017, 09:53:43 PM
Ok. So now that it is cold here, I am looking to finish up my Sig Banshee. The main question is covering the wing. I am going to pre-cover it. I could use the expensive Monokote, BUT, I have a lot of 'Doculam' to use as well. It is pretty strong, can be sanded and finished after application as well, so I can paint the whole plane together as one also. So, does anyone have any opinions on using the laminating film verses the pricy Monokote that I would have to go and buy? Thank you.

You can also finish the adhesive side of the lamination film.  I used Design Master Tint It transparent floral spray dye on the adhesive side of the lamination film on my plane.  Most craft stores carry this stuff.
