Hello
I bought a can of Duplicolor DAP1689 white primer and would like to know if any of you have used it.I`m painting a Ring master and was using brodak white primer but got tired how easy the sandpaper get clogged if I sand dry and was wondering if I could use the Dupli color primer. I`m planing on painting the plane with duplicolor yellow.

Hi Juan,If you have some of the Brodak try a test piece.Spray with brodak first and let dry. Then put the DC over it to see if it lifts, bubbles or anything like that.If you have no issues it should be compatible.I use Sandblaster sandpaper by 3M and it is very resistant to the clogging you were talking about. The DC primer sands nicely and Yellow looks good over the white primer.Hope this helps.Trax

hello Jeff and Ty
I went thru the Dupli color rack at Pep Boys and the only white primer that I found was the DAP 1689 which is made by Shermin williams,I looked for the others mentioned in the white primer thread with no luck.I didn`t find the grey DC540 or DC535. I bought the DAP1689 and will be testing it later I`m waiting to see if I get a response at other site.will let you guys know.
