Title: Did I screw up and how bad?

I got a little ahead of myself today. I covered one panel of my Vector profile wing with silkspan and dope. As I was getting ready to do the other bottom panel, I realized that I had not doped the wing yet. I had brush doped the fuse and all the other surfaces but I was intending to spray the wings before covering. Got a bit ahead and skipped the spray stage. The silkspan looks to be stuck down on the wing as well as any of the other surfaces I have already covered. Should I sand it all off or call it good and keep going. I will put a couple coats on the other panels before covering.

While I’m asking, do you finish the weight box lid with it installed or separately?

You will be OK.  If it is stuck down don't worry about it.    I do my weight boxes separately.

Do any lids, hatches, and whatnot separately.  Make sure that when you build them you leave clearance for the finish on both the edges of the hole and the edges of the thingie.

A nice pretty weight box lid that goes into the hole once, and then can't be removed without damage, is kinda embarrassing, and really frustrating.
