Title: Brodak dope
Post by: James Mills on September 01, 2008, 05:30:40 PM
Is there another thinner you can substitue for Brodak dope (like with SIG)?

Thanks,

James

James,

The big thing with thinners is to use the same thing from the wood up. I've had more problems from changing thinners than almost anything else. Brodak dope is made by Randolph's, so I imagine that Randolph thinner would work.

Randolph thinner is what I've used for two planes in a row now. Both have Sig nitrate base, Brodak color, and Randolph clear. No compatability problem. Just don't use the rattle can primers like I did. That DID cause a problem.
