Hi all -
Just dug out a stash of improperly stored silkspan from some years back and find the white has stains and color transfer from a piece of dark blue.
Can the stuff be bleached or otherwise "restored"?
Thanks.

Terry,
I see no reason why the material cannot be bleached. Small percentage at first.
May or may not take the stains out?
Worth the try.
Before and after photos?

Sorry Avaiojet, too late for pix - I decided to just try it.
For the benfit of anyone who may wonder, the short answer is "Yes", bleaching took out the discolorations just fine.
No real prob with heavy and medium; with light weight the big problem is very low wet strength, but it also has a noticeable tacky quality, sticking to the skin when damp.
So handle all VERY carefully and OUT of the wind (don't ask how I know!). ;D

Terry
