Has anyone used Balsarite then Iron On covering over a doped polyspan or tissue covering?
Have some LE sheeting that is sanded thin, I'm afraid of a finger puncture when holding/launching. Need to strengthen.
Good, bad, comments??
thx,

Balsarite seems fine directly over dope.
I can tell you for sure that dope on wood, with rustoleum on the dope, followed up by balsarite is an absolute nightmare.
The balsarite directly on the dope is acting just fine though.

I recently built a wee duper zilch out of very thin 1/32 wood.....having said that. I doped it several times, covered it with silkspan and then covered that with ultracote. It is strong and light now.

I thought I wrote this in the original reply.
Balsarite over rustoleum on rustoleum primer on bare wood is fine too. Did that.
Surprised the heck out of me when paint started curdling and falling off the one I had problems with the base coat of dope...
