Ultracote ParkLite
« on: August 08, 2013, 02:41:57 PM »
Good Afternoon All;

  Curious, has anyone tried the Ultracote ParkLite variety?  Shedding weight is always good, but not at the expense of structural rigidity.  Is this covering too thin to provide the additional strength desired?

Thanks in advance,
Dave

I have used it, but only on the stabilizers of small free flight models. It adds very little to the rigidity of the structure and in my opinion is not durable enough for the weight saved to use it on any controline aircraft.

Just my $.02 worth

I think it's good stuff.  I've used it on a few planes including a combat plane that has taken a beating.  I know other combat guys who turned me on to it.
