I was given some covering material by a friend. Most of it were door prizes at R/C fun flys. I'd like to know if it's usable, hope to finish some classic combat planes with it. Here is what I have;
Sig nylon, Royal sirlon, Midwest microlon and a small bit of esaki silk(#3 lite weight). Probably don't have enough silk to do a plane, can I mix and match any of this covering? I'm sure they all have different shrinking rates.
My other question is if a waterbased paint is compatible with these materials?

Thanks for the reply. There is only enough silk for 1 panel, so I'm keeping it for repairs. The midwest microlon looks like silkspan to me, if that is the correct package. I'm starting to fly r/c, so if that sticks I guess I have sone material for covering.
