Title: $KOTE PREP
Post by: Jack Mulinix on January 30, 2010, 01:24:58 PM
OK. Here goes, I want to cover a non movable flap wing with transparent $kote. But at the traling edge where the flap is glued, it's not quite perfect , and am going to have to use a little fil. Is there anything to use after fil to get back to a balsa color, or just make do? Thanks in advance, Jack

Jack,

You can get wood filler that's balsa colored.  If you can't find it, try mixing a little (very little) brown food coloring into your filler til you get a tint that's right for the piece your filling.  Easy and works good.
